Frequently Asked Questions.
How much does having a bookkeeper cost?
It all depends, we offer a FREE consultation to find a solution that fits your needs and your budget. Some clients have us handle everything, others choose to do the day to day on their own, and like using our office to review on a regular basis. Contact us to schedule, what do you have to lose?
Do you offer training?
YES! Sometimes the most budget friendly option is to have us set up your books and have you (or someone on your staff) manage the day to day bookkeeping.
I don’t know much about bookkeeping, where do I start?
Our FREE consultation is a good starting point. We can review what you currently have in place, and figure out if there are ways we can save time (therefore money), with programs, apps automation, or have us take care of everything for you.
Do I have to sign a contract?
NO! We believe that your finances shouldn’t stress you out. We want all of our clients to be comfortable with the process. If another solution fits your situation better let us know as soon as possible.
Can you do my taxes as well?
No, we do not complete tax returns by choice. We believe that having TWO sets of eyes (a bookkeeper and a tax preparer) is actually more beneficial than just one. That means you have two groups in your corner trying to do what’s best for your business.
I just started my business, so getting a bookkeeper is not an urgent need correct?
The best time to look into getting a bookkeeper is NOW. Whether you you just have an idea for a business, or have been doing your own books for years. The FREE consultation will only take an hour of your time, and if all you get is a bit of education for your business, that is better than going in blind.
How do I prepare for my consultation?
We recommend writing down a list of questions that you would like to ask prior to the meeting. Have your current bookkeeping (if applicable) ready to review. Be prepared to talk about what you like/don’t like about your current process, and what you think would make your life easier. If great aunt Suzie has ideas, feel free to bring her along (if that is what will make you more comfortable).
Wouldn’t it be easier if i just had my tax preparer do my bookkeeping as well?
Easier? It depends. Sure you would have all of the services “under one roof” making communication “easier”.
HOWEVER…
~ Have you ever tried to contact your tax preparer around April 15th, or October 15th?
~ Do you know what your tax preparer charges per hour?
~ Is your Tax preparer a Quickbooks Pro-Advisor with over 15 years of experience?
